Date Night
So, now that Old Man Winter is releasing his grip on us and my mind is unthawing…I can think about going outside to play a bit…lol! If you are anything like my wife and I, we don’t care too much for the cold and hibernate through most of the winter. Now that daylight savings time is here and it stays light longer we are free to roam around the cabin (that was a bit corny…lol). I know during the winter our “Date Nights” started being indoors with an occasional lunch or dinner outside and then…they dwindled down to not at all.
We know that in lesbian relationships dating is important, it helps to keep things fresh and alive. It’s one of the keys to making lesbian love last. You can get really creative with your date night ideas; drive in movie night, a walk through your neighborhood, a trip to a local ice cream joint or giving each other a sensual massage (it doesn’t even matter if you know what you’re doing, just rub something, lol). So, I’m planning our first date night outside for my wife and I. We have several cool state parks around us where we live that are really cool with several nice picnic areas, so we don’t have to drive far to avoid traffic (my wife drives 2 hours to work daily) so the less driving the better for her.
Anyway, I’m going to pack us a really cool box lunch with our favorite sandwich, a side salad, a few chips and a cookie, put it in a cute little box (that you can pick-up from any craft store in the cake decorating section) and a good bottle of wine. Make sure to take a table cloth that you can snag from any dollar store if you want to sit at a table or a grab a blanket for sitting on the ground. I’ll find us a good place to sit where we can be one with nature and re-connect, having good conversation and catching up. Afterwards, we’ll take a walk through the park and take really cool pictures as a memento our day.
It really doesn’t take much, as long as we re-connect, re-kindle and rejuvenate our relationship.
